Information used
The game may process an email address for verification, a passkey credential for device-backed authentication, a browser or device identifier, an IP address, session data, gameplay activity, a permanently bound wallet address, and on-chain claim activity.
Protected identifiers
Email addresses are normalized and stored in the game database as keyed HMAC hashes; the original address is not retained there. Browser or device fingerprints and IP addresses are also stored as keyed HMAC hashes rather than raw values. A verified passkey credential and its public-key material are stored so the service can authenticate the account. HMAC hashing reduces exposure but does not make an identifier anonymous in every context.
Why the data is used
- Operate accounts, sessions, passkeys and email verification.
- Record Tax Score, attendance, eligibility and wallet binding.
- Detect clusters that may indicate multi-accounting, automation or settlement abuse.
- Prepare, audit and publish monthly allocation data and Merkle proofs.
- Protect the service, investigate incidents and meet legal obligations.
Automated signals and manual review
Security signals may flag accounts that share protected device or network identifiers. A flag does not automatically ban an account. Higher-risk cases may receive a settlement hold and are reviewed manually under the Account Review procedure.
Public blockchain data
A bound wallet address, claims and other blockchain transactions are public by design and cannot be deleted or made private by TaxTheRich.
Retention and service providers
Records are retained only as reasonably needed for game operation, settlement integrity, security, disputes and legal compliance. Infrastructure, email delivery and blockchain providers may process limited data on the project’s behalf under their own applicable terms.

Requests concerning access, correction or deletion can be submitted through the official Telegram channel or Farcaster account linked below. Some records may need to be retained for security, settlement, legal obligations, or because they are permanently public on-chain.
